Transportation

Shuttles will be provided from Glens Falls and Troy, first come, first served, with designated pick-up locations shared closer to Advocacy Day. Transportation support from other regions of New York State may be available on a case-by-case basis.

Meal Assistance

Breakfast will be provided for all advocates. Lunch assistance is available; please indicate your need for lunch assistance in the registration form.

What to Expect

We’ll gather in the morning for a brief training, breakfast, and an overview of our priorities for the day. Advocates will then meet with legislators. While we’ll provide guidance and talking points, we strongly encourage folks to share their personal stories and speak to how proposed legislation impacts their lives and communities.

9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. — Breakfast (provided) & Training
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m — Meetings with Members
12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. — Lunch (on your own, financial assistance available)
1:15 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. — Meetings with Members
3:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. — End of Day Touchbase
4:30 p.m. — Shuttle Departs to Glens Falls and Troy
4:45 p.m. — Shuttle Arrives in Troy
5:45 p.m. — Shuttle Arrives in Glens Falls

Advocacy Days are held on Mondays to align with the legislative schedule. We recognize this may be a challenge for some in our community and truly appreciate those who are able to participate.
