As a participant in the Lower Adirondack Pride LGBTQIA+ support group, I acknowledge and understand that this group is a non-clinical, peer-led space designed to provide support, connection, and shared experiences. I recognize that discussions within this group are based on personal experiences and peer support rather than professional therapy, counseling, or medical treatment. Therefore, I agree to the following: Confidentiality & Respect: - I will respect the privacy and confidentiality of all group members. - I will not disclose or discuss any personal information, experiences, or identities shared within the group with individuals outside of this space. - I understand that what is said in this group stays within the group, and I will not repeat or share any details or anecdotes without explicit permission from the individuals involved. - I recognize that breaching confidentiality undermines trust and the safe space we strive to create. Non-Clinical Nature & Personal Responsibility: - I understand that the discussions and support provided in this group do not constitute professional advice, therapy, or medical treatment. - Any actions or decisions I make based on discussions within this group are my own responsibility. - I will seek professional help from qualified healthcare providers or mental health professionals for any medical or psychological concerns. Liability & Acknowledgment: I agree that Lower Adirondack Pride and Carly Samach, LMHC, are not held liable for any outcomes or consequences resulting from my participation in this support group.
